Cider Vinegar FAQs

What is Cider Vinegar?

Cider vinegar (or apple cider vinegar) is a derivative of fermented apples. As with all vinegars, it has a high acetic acid content, and has other acids as well as amino acids, mineral salts, and vitamins. Apple Cider Vinegar has been used as a traditional remedy for a variety of conditions for centuries, but while many uses have been disproven over time, its ability to promote satiety and help with the natural metabolism of fat has shown some promise in small scientific studies.

What is Cider Vinegar good for?

NOW® Cider Vinegar is a traditional formula that helps to support the body’s natural glucose metabolism process.* This product contains additional nutrients such as vitamin B-6, Chromium Chelavite®, grapefruit fiber, and more. As with any dietary support supplement, this product works best in conjunction with regular exercise and a healthy diet that’s high in fruits and vegetables and low in animal fats and sugars.

How many Cider Vinegar caps should I take and when?

Optimally, you should take 2 capsules, 2 to 3 times daily, 15 to 30 minutes before meals. Do not take in between meals, and do not abstain from eating after you take this product.

Will I have gastrointestinal discomfort while taking this product?

Because cider vinegar is acidic, it may cause gastrointestinal discomfort if not taken as directed. Be sure to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.
