The AREDS (Age-Related Eye Disease Study) Clinical Trial has shown that natural supplements can play a role in supporting eye health. What has been learned is that many stressors can create a range of different free radicals that can damage different tissues within the eye and its associated neural network. A comprehensive formula with many unique, target-specific, and synergistic antioxidants can provide a balanced approach to managing many different eye conditions and support general eye health.
NOW® Ocu Support™ offers an extensive, full range of antioxidant nutrients that may aid in maintaining some key visual functions. One daily serving (4 pills) of Ocu Support™ has 13.32 mg of Lutein, a carotenoid found in dark green leafy vegetables. Lutein is a dominant pigment in the macular region of the eye. Also included are the antioxidant Vitamins A, C, and E, as well as supporting nutrients critical for neutralizing free radicals produced by sunlight. In addition, several phytonutrients including Bilberry, Eyebright, Grape Seed, and Green Tea have biologically active flavonoids that support healthy vision. This is one of the most complete eye formulas on the market.
Adult Dosage: Take 4 capsules daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medication or natural health products. Dosage may be spread over several meals in the day. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.
